Valentina Frasca CHILDREN& YOUNG PEOPLE PSYCHOTHERAPIST

a listening presence

Meet Valentina,

My expertise
Over the span of over two decades, I have dedicated myself to cultivating expertise and a strong passion for supporting families. My professional background in Education built a strong foundation of patience, curiosity and active listening. I apply this now to provide personalised care.
My masters degree as in Psychodynamic Counselling Psychotherapy has deepened my capacity to support clients with sensitivity and clinical clarity. Grounded in contemporary psychodynamic theory and practice, and informed by psychosocial perspectives, my approach considers both unconscious processes and the social contexts that shape experience and relationships. I also incorporate person-centred approaches, breathwork and mindfulness woven in where they helpful.
A core component of my training was a weekly, year‑long mother-and-infant observation, which provided concentrated professional experience in working safely with dyads and young children. This practice strengthened my skills in careful observation, attunement, boundary-setting, and reflective practice.
I am not fazed by 'difficult' behaviour of children and young people, but more curious to understand what they might be trying to communicate.
I am currently pursuing a certificate in The Resilience Toolkit, a somatic framework for first-stage trauma healing and real-time stress navigation. This training enhances my ability to support clients through embodied practices that stabilise the nervous system, increase safety, and build practical skills for managing acute stress and early trauma responses. Allowing me to offer grounded, trauma-informed support tailored to each person’s needs.
i offer 20 minutes introductory call,

isn’t dramatic.

It doesn’t require candles, crystals, or complicated rituals.

It’s the quiet act of saying:

“I’m here. I see you. I’m not going to rush you or fix you.”

It’s as simple (and as rare) as listening fully.

No judgment. No performance. Just presence.

Which makes it, frankly, quite dull.

And entirely essential.
