Valentina Frasca CHILDREN, adolescent & YOUNG adults PSYCHOTHERAPIST
a listening presence
Meet Valentina,
I am a British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) registered psychotherapist offering therapy form my private practice in South London. Over the span of over two decades, I have dedicated myself to cultivating expertise and a strong passion for supporting families. My professional background in Education built a strong foundation of patience, curiosity and active listening. I apply this now to provide personalised care. Therapy with me is active and collaborative. My masters degree as in Psychodynamic Counselling Psychotherapy has deepened my capacity to support clients with sensitivity and clinical clarity. Grounded in contemporary psychodynamic theory and practice, and informed by psychosocial perspectives, my approach considers both unconscious processes and the social contexts that shape experience and relationships. I also incorporate psychodynamic understanding that helps to understand unconscious patterns, Alongside a person-centred approach, which offers a safe, non-judgemental, empathic and unconditional acceptance. I appreciate that seeking support for your child can feel like a significant step, but I hope that together with can make that journey for you feel manageable and easeful for you. My intention is to provide a space where children and young people feel heard, understood and respected, which invites them to open up with ease at a pace that feel comfortable for them. I am not fazed by 'difficult' behaviour, but more curious to understand what they might be trying to communicate. I am currently pursuing a certificate in The Resilience Toolkit, a somatic framework for first-stage trauma healing and real-time stress navigation. This training enhances my ability to support clients through embodied practices that stabilise the nervous system, increase safety, and build practical skills for managing acute stress and early trauma responses. Allowing me to offer grounded, trauma-informed support tailored to each person’s needs. i offer 20 minutes introductory call, My rate is £80 per hour - I do offer sliding scale but all spaces are taken up at present.
I can also offer a structured 8 week block for those who would like a more focused and intentional approach priced at.. Sessions are offered online & in-person. Being a parent is accompanied many times with worry, you may have found that is difficult to not be occupied with wither you are doing things the 'right way' or have anxiety if you are concerned that your child isn't developing against the backdrop of societal norms. To help with your child, I use play to gain greater insight and connect with your child. The insight gained provides information about any distress, emotional and behavioural struggles you might be experiencing. What is communicated provides an entry point for us to discuss how to support your child and create strategies, that will provide you with the confidence to respond to their needs in an aligned way. The work is collaborative and together within a calm and supportive container we create an opportunity to strengthen your relationship with your child. working with parents MY PRACTICE
I am committed to anti-racist and inclusive practice, my intention is to hold spaces that are culturally sensitive and trauma informed.
isn’t dramatic.
It doesn’t require candles, crystals, or complicated rituals.
It’s the quiet act of saying:
“I’m here. I see you. I’m not going to rush you or fix you.”
It’s as simple (and as rare) as listening fully.
No judgment. No performance. Just presence.
Which makes it, frankly, quite dull.
And entirely essential.
